About me

I'm a makeup artist, creative director, and entrepreneur passionate about storytelling through beauty and authenticity. My career has taken me through the worlds of fashion, film, editorial, and live performance, where I've developed an approach to makeup that is clean, real, and always rooted in the essence of the person in front of me.

My creative journey began as a dancer, where I first learned the power of embodiment, emotion, and visual storytelling. That experience continues to shape the way I approach my work today. As a queer Black artist, I found in makeup not just a craft, but a language—one that allowed me to protect, express, and affirm identity, especially for those who have often been left out of mainstream beauty narratives.

My early work with Connected Health Solutions gave me a strong foundation in professionalism, collaboration, and the rhythm of working on set. Those experiences eventually led to opportunities to work with Parkwood Entertainment on Black Is King, as well as contribute to productions with MTV, Saturday Night Live, Discovery+, and the most recent Broadway revival of Bob Fosse's DANCIN' (2023).

Everything I create is guided by a philosophy that blends creativity with service. I approach every project with integrity and a deep sense of purpose, striving to make work that is emotionally resonant, fosters connection, and pushes back against erasure. One project that embodies this philosophy is Not Tonight, a visual tribute to Lil' Kim and Misa Hylton that celebrated Black femme expression through a queer lens.

I'm equally passionate about uplifting others in the makeup and entertainment industries by offering mentorship and guidance to artists navigating their own creative paths. Whether I'm preparing clients for the red carpet, developing characters behind the scenes, or collaborating with filmmakers and fellow creatives, I bring not only technical skill, but also intention, empathy, and vision.

For me, beauty is a form of storytelling. It's a way to hold space, honor identity, and build legacy. Whether I'm working as a makeup artist or creative director, I'm committed to creating work that is visually compelling, emotionally honest, and culturally rooted.
